It was an exciting day on March 4th in the bid for the Continental Cup at Royal Kingston Curling Club. Team Red dominated the first three events of the 2017 Challenge with the final skins game giving an advantage to team Blue for the overall top score and winners of the 2017 Continental Cup Challenge within the Greater Kingston Area Curling Association. Teams this year are continuing their support with the opportunity to curl in the Soldier On hosted by the Garrison Curling Club in Kingston, Ontario on 25 March 2017.
The Continental Cup is an annual event in the skills competition for excellence, in the performance of Mixed, Mixed Doubles, Men, Women and Skins events. In every event, the winning team would score an accumulative 50 points, for their preference colour. In the skins event however, the teams would accumulate points according to the the amount of skins won, giving the advantage of the Challenge Cup to the final event of the skins competition.
Greater Kingston Curling also known as The Greater Kingston & Area Curling Association represents 5 Kingston and area curling clubs. The association is administered by a Board of Directors and is entirely volunteer governed.
