History

GKC (Greater Kingston & Area Curling Association) was proud to be involved as the host committee of the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Championship. A massive recruitment effort of over 400 volunteers contributed to the success of the event. The K-Rock center brought in over 60,000 fans and was recognized by the CCA as the 3rd highest attendance in Ontario and 12th overall attendance record for the history of the Scotties. The economic impact of the event on the city of Kingston was estimated to bring in over 6 million dollars. Overall the event was praised as one of the best Scotties ever!
